Network TELUS3101
Password k85km7qj3z
Alternate WiFi (best on south side)

Password D7gj5ehB4mxL

There are two WiFi networks available. Both reach the full property — just use whichever has the better signal where you're sitting. Heating & Fireplace

Staying warm and comfortable

Gas Fireplace

The gas fireplace is controlled by the thermostat located directly behind the fridge. Reach behind the fridge and select your desired temperature.

Thermostat Location

The thermostat is tucked behind the fridge — reach behind it on the wall to find the controls. Set your preferred temperature and the fireplace will cycle on and off automatically.

Important: Please turn off the fireplace before leaving the house and before going to bed.

Mini-Split AC / Heat Pump

The wall-mounted mini-split unit controls both heating and cooling. Use the remote to set your preferred temperature and mode.

Mini-Split Remote

Heat mode: Press the mode button until you see the sun icon. Set your desired temperature.

Cool mode: Press the mode button until you see the snowflake icon. Set your desired temperature.

Auto: The unit will switch between heating and cooling as needed.

The mini-split provides efficient climate control year-round. In summer, use cool mode to keep the home comfortable.

Outdoor Areas & Parking

Your oceanfront deck and what you need to know

The Deck

The upper deck offers panoramic ocean and mountain views with patio furniture for outdoor dining. It's the perfect spot for morning coffee as the sun rises over the Salish Sea.

BBQ

Propane gas BBQ on the deck with utensils provided.

BBQ Safety

Please turn off the propane valve after each use. Close the valve on the tank, not just the burner knobs.

Duplex Note

The Whale House is a side-by-side duplex. Each side has its own private entrance, kitchen, bathroom(s), and living areas. Your booking covers either one side or both — check your booking confirmation for details. When both sides are booked together, an interior connecting door lets you move between units without going outside.

Parking

3 spots on the frontage road directly in front of the house are available to all guests.

If you booked one side only

Please use the street parking. Keep the driveway and garage door with the whale mural unblocked — the driveway is reserved.

If you booked the full duplex

You also have 2 additional spots in the driveway, for a total of 5 parking spots.

Garbage & Recycling

Bag all garbage and place it in the bins by the side of the home. Fasten lids securely — bears and raccoons are active in the area.

Please sort your recycling into the labeled bins.
